Mummy Trio Halloween Decor

I am super excited to share this fun and adorable mummy trio Halloween decor idea with you! I made this with a kit from my shop, and there are two different ways that I show you can use this kit!

How to make the Mummy Trio Halloween Decor

I started this project by staining each piece of my mummy craft kit. I used Waverly Java Chalk Paint and a wet wipe to get the stained finish on each piece.

Once the stain was dry, I used foam sponges to apply white paint to each piece of my mummies. Allow the white paint to dry completely (I like to use my heat gun to speed up the drying process) and lightly distress each piece.

Next, I used a paint pen to draw on the eyes for my mummies. Once the paint is dry on each piece, they’re sanded, and you’ve drawn the eyes for each mummy, you can glue the mummies together!

Now, you could stop at this point and decorate with the mummies individually. They would be cute on a tiered tray or shelf!

My next steps

I didn’t stop at just painting and putting the mummies together. I took the backing off of a Dollar Tree rectangle frame and painted it white.

Next, I sanded the frame to smooth it out and painted it white. Once the paint was dry, I drew lines onto the frame with a black Sharpie marker.

Glue the Dollar Tree creepy cloth onto the white frame backing, trim the excess, and place it back into frame.

Add any final touches to the mummies, and glue them onto the creepy cloth. Lastly, glue two paint sticks to the back of the frame so you can hang it up!

I hope you enjoyed this Mummy Trio Halloween Decor as much as I did and decide to make one for yourself! I would love to see how yours turns out!
