How to Make an Easy Christmas Ornament DIY

Y’all, this DIY Christmas ornament was SO easy to make, I just had to share it with you! It turned out so cute. I seriously cannot wait to put this on my tree (Don’t worry, I’m waiting until at least after Halloween to put my tree up!)

This one turned out so cute, so I am excited to tell you how to make an easy Christmas ornament DIY.

Watch the Replay

I actually filmed myself making this craft during a Facebook Live, but you can watch the replay if you want to see step by step how I made this easy DIY ornament come to life!

WATCH THE VIDEO HERE

For this project, I will be using these items but you can substitute where you want.

Let’s get started

Okay, to start you’re going to cut out the fabric to fit right inside of the wood ornament. Apply a coat of Mod Podge and then lay your fabric down inside the ornament.

I like to take a credit card to smooth out the bubbles and creases.

Now grab your little red truck and remove the tree from it. We are going to replace that tree with the little ones from Dollar Tree. This is where you need the metallic grey and gunmetal grey paints.

Paint the wheel covers with metallic grey paint and add some detailing with the gunmetal grey paint.

Glue it down

Next, glue the mini Dollar Tree Christmas tree to the little red truck, and hot glue the truck to the inside of the wood ornament where you want it to be.

I took some Hobby Lobby Merry Christmas stickers and added them to give it a more “Christmas” feel.

Let’s make a hot glue bow!

I am no professional bow maker by any means, but I just LOVE making these adorable little hot glue bows!

It’s a little tricky to explain how to make it without just showing you, so you can see exactly how I made this hot glue bow in the Facebook Live Replay!

How cute is this DIY Christmas ornament!
