How to Make a Dollar Tree Fence DIY Plant Stand

To use the Dollar Tree plastic fence in this DIY project, you have to cut the fence in pieces. You need one full panel from the fence and three short pieces.

There are four panels in one fence piece, so I got the short pieces from the bottom section of three of the panels.

If you’re using a Dollar Tree sign box for the bottom of the DIY plant stand, hot glue each of the fence pieces to the back of the sign.

You can build the bottom out of craft sticks if you don’t have the Dollar Tree sign that I used originally. Trim the craft sticks to the right size and hot glue them together.

Bring it all together

Once the fence panels are glued onto your base, you need to glue the feet to the bottom. I originally used wooden caps, but you can also use Dollar Tree wood craft cubes.

I chose to paint my DIY plant stand with metallic silver paint, but I included Apple Barrel paints because they would work perfectly for this project if you wanted to change the color.

Whatever paint you decide to use, paint your entire DIY plant stand. Once your paint is dry, you’re ready to add your plant and decorate with this adorable Dollar Tree Fence DIY Plant Stand.
