This DIY Chicken Wire Gather Sign really lives up to its name! It is so easy to make, with only a few steps and no complicated crafting techniques! And, not only is it so easy that even a beginner crafter could make it, it is so adorable it would go with any home decor style!

For this project, I will be using these items but you can substitute where you want.

Chicken Wire ribbon
Polka dot scrapbook paper
Greenery Garland
Wood Beads
Dixie Belle Midnight Sky Chalk Paint (black)
Hot Glue gun
Glue Sticks

How to Make an DIY Chicken Wire Gather Sign

Start by painting the gather lettering with black paint. I used Dixie Belle Midnight Sky Chalk Paint, but I know that isn’t a very common paint for your craft stash. You can use whichever black paint you have on hand, or whichever paint you prefer!

Next, grab your picture frame, remove the backing from it, and cut strips of the chicken wire to cover the inside of the picture frame. It took four strips of the chicken wire for me to cover the inside of my frame.

Then, hot glue the chicken wire to the inside of the picture frame. You’re going to want something to press the chicken wire into the hot glue so you don’t burn your fingers.

Cut a piece of polka dot scrapbook paper to fit over the back of the picture frame. Normally, I would have placed it inside the frame and then put the backing on.

I didn’t have the back of this picture frame, so I hot glued it to the back of the frame, behind the chicken wire. Now, hot glue your greenery garland into a circle to make a mini wreath.

Hot glue the mini garland wreath to the top center of the chicken wire, then hot glue the gather lettering just beneath the mini wreath. Finally, hot glue brown wood beads around your mini wreath!
