I went with solid navy for my DIY rattan decor boxes because that matches my bedroom decor and I’m just a fan of navy home decor.

You can paint and decorate your boxes in any color, pattern, or style that you want because the rattan decor kit comes unfinished and unassembled!

How to make DIY Rattan Decor Boxes

Making these adorable DIY Rattan Decor Boxes is super easy! It’s basically paint, assemble, and hang!

I painted each of the pieces of my rattan decor boxes with navy paint. Allow the paint to dry completely. I used my heat gun to speed up that process.

Next, cut a piece of burlap to go on the backside of the front piece of the rattan decor box. Paint the burlap with white paint and allow it to dry completely.

Glue the painted burlap to the backside of the front piece of the rattan decor box and then assemble the decor box with glue.

Use a wood bead garland (or twine and wood beads from Amazon) to make the hanger for your hanging rattan decor boxes.

Secure the wood bead garland onto the boxes. Next, depending on the greenery you pick, you may want to insert some floral foam into the boxes. Lastly, place your greenery!

For this idea, I used these items but you can substitute where you want.
