Decorative Wall Organizer using Dollar Tree Items

A decorative organizer on a tight budget!

This week’s Creative Haven project had me thinking! How in the world am I going to make this Decorative Wall Organizer using Dollar Tree Items! Seems like it should be easy! I love a good challenge and when the Creative Haven members submitted their project ideas for everyone to vote on, I will be honest. I did not think this one would make the cut!

This project was submitted by a member of the CH. The original idea is a Wayfair product you can see it below! $128 even on sale, NO WAY! Who has that kind of money to spend on a wall organizer? Not me! So we are going to do our own Wayfair dupe for this project! You can see the Yair Wall Storage Organizer with wall baskets on Wayfair, originally $198 I certainly do not have that kind of cash to spend on organization.

5-gallon paint stir sticks

Seems like we have used a ton of these 5-gallon paint stir sticks lately! However, it seemed like the best affordable option rather than using the expensive wood! Have you seen the price of wood lately! Dang it has gone way up! So, I am going to keep this one affordable!

I am going to do my best to create my own version of the project that was submitted. Honestly, It wont be exact at all! I could not find a way to get the best stability for the organizers with just craft dowels! So were using a cooling rack from Dollar Tree!

I won’t be sharing the tutorial publicly so if you want to make this with us you will need to become a member of the Creative Haven VIP you can do that here!

Fun and easy home decor DIY’s for any budget

Just remember you can use what you have on hand and think outside the box, heck I bet you could make this using scrap wood and plunger handles. Get Creative! For this home decor DIY, most of the supplies you will need for this craft are going to be found at various stores. One of my favorite stores is Dollar Tree but if you do not have access to a Dollar Tree crafters square you can use items found in other stores like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Joanns, and maybe even Walmart or Dollar General! Plus you can substitute where you want as well!

  1. I wish you’d show the inspiration piece with the supply list. I don’t know what it looks like…don’t get old, my memory sucks…so I can’t picture what to use as a substitution.
Just thought I’d share my thought…
