This will be a great low-cost craft, plus it’s one of those things that would make a great Mother’s Day gift.
Budget-Friendly Front Porch ideas
DIY front porch decor ideas have been spinning around in my head here lately, especially decor for a small front porch. I do not have a lot of room so I thought why not make a smaller version of the Hanging flower basket stand that we see all over Pinterest and make it to go on a tabletop instead. This way we are decorating up and building height with our front porch decor.

The front porch decor at cracker barrel always has me swooning! In fact, I love their wooden rockers and the plant displays! My vision for this front porch decor project was to achieve a layered look that feels as cozy as the porches at Cracker Barrel! Except we are going to be using items from the Dollar Tree to make our DIY Front Porch Hanging Flower Basket Stand.

If you need a Mother’s day gift idea this front porch craft could be it! Personalize it for her by adding her last name instead of the word welcome!
One of my favorite stores is Dollar Tree but if you do not have access to a Dollar Tree crafters square you can use items found in other stores like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Joanns, and maybe even Walmart or Dollar General! Plus you can substitute where you want as well! For this one, I am using items from Dollar Tree and items found at Michael’s, Home Depot, and at Walmart!

April 26th 2021 Supply List for DIY Front Porch Hanging Flower Basket Stand
SUPPLY LIST
You will need: (items shown in the photo or any substitution you prefer) Don’t forget, you are not required to use the exact items! “As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.”
- Dollar Tree Love Signs You will need at least 2 or something similar (scrap wood will work as well)
- Greenery pick (I got mine at Michael’s)
- Dollar Tree wood sign that is pink (you might have a different style of this) You can also use a 2 X 4 piece of wood
- Brown paint
- White Paint
- Dollar Tree Twine
- 5 Gallon size paint sticks you need 2 packs You can get them at Home Depot or Lowes Cheap
- 1 Gallon size paint sticks you will need about 4 sticks. Get them online or in-store at Lowes, Walmart or Home Depot.
- Glue Gun
- Hot Glue
- E6000 (optional)
- Scissors / Hand Saw / Aviation Snips
- We may use a drill and drill bits and screws

The supply list is a list of what will be used by me, but there are no specifications as to how much of the items you will need. This will be determined after the project has been completed. I can not tell you exactly what colors or how much we will use until the project is completed.
Please substitute where you can!
If it is not in your budget to purchase supplies, please get creative and think outside the box! Ask yourself, “What else could you use?” Furthermore, do you have things at home you can use?
